In a significant step towards enhancing digital literacy and innovation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Orange RDC has inaugurated its second Orange Digital Centre Club (ODC Club) in Matadi, Kongo Central. The centre, spanning 116 square meters, is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including computers, printers, and audiovisual equipment. The ODC Club aims to complement students’ academic training by offering free courses and events in high-demand digital fields, as well as fostering entrepreneurial skills through coaching, project management training, and soft skills workshops.

The inauguration event was attended by local political and academic leaders, as well as key figures from Orange RDC, including the company’s General Manager, Ben Cheick Haidara, and Regional Director, Serge Kaozi. Following the success of the first ODC in Kinshasa and the Digital Club in Lubumbashi, this new centre in Matadi underscores Orange’s ongoing efforts to expand its digital ecosystem across the country.

“With the inauguration of this second Orange Digital Centre Club and the upcoming ones, we will provide the necessary skills to give the greatest number access to new technologies and help them use them fully; our commitment to inclusion is a reality experienced daily by the Congolese people.”
