From humble beginnings to global recognition: A journey of growth and excellence

Mantrac commenced operations in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1977, established under the auspices of the Mansour Group. As the first company in the country to specialise in construction equipment and generators, Mantrac became the exclusive authorised dealer for Caterpillar products. In the same year, following the acquisition of the United Africa Company, a Caterpillar dealership owned by Unilever, Mantrac extended its reach to become the authorised Caterpillar dealer in East and West Africa.

In 2000, Mantrac merged with Unatrac to form the Mantrac Group, enabling further expansion and growth into new territories. Four years later, in 2004, Mantrac was honoured with an award from Caterpillar for being the “Largest Electric Power Dealer.” In 2008, the Mantrac Group achieved a turnover of $1.5 billion.

By 2018, Mantrac had won the Global Golden Level Award for Service Excellence for the second consecutive year. This prestigious accolade highlighted the company’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service.
