  • InterSAT’s services are crucial in regions with limited terrestrial infrastructure, supporting connectivity and enterprise growth.
  • With over a decade of experience, InterSAT continues to lead through innovative satellite solutions and partnerships, helping to bridge the digital divide.

InterSAT is expanding its satellite services across Africa through strategic partnerships and innovations, offering reliable internet connectivity in remote regions. The company leverages advanced satellite technologies to bridge the digital divide, supporting growth and connectivity in underserved areas.

Expanding satellite capacity for African growth

InterSAT has strengthened its partnership with Eutelsat through a new multi-year agreement aimed at expanding its satellite capacity in Central and Eastern Africa. By adding Ku-band capacity from the EUTELSAT 70B satellite, InterSAT is positioning itself to meet growing demand for reliable internet connectivity in some of the region’s most remote areas. This move builds on InterSAT’s existing Ka-band capacity and leverages their expertise in VSAT services to provide scalable, high-performance connectivity solutions.

This partnership underscores the importance of satellite communication in Africa’s digital future. With limited terrestrial infrastructure, satellite technology plays a critical role in connecting remote regions and supporting enterprise growth. InterSAT’s expanded capabilities reflect a broader industry trend toward utilising geostationary satellites to deliver cost-effective, high-quality internet services in underserved markets, a key factor in bridging the continent’s digital divide

InterSAT is making strides in mobile satellite communication through its integration of Kymeta technology. This innovation provides “on-the-go” connectivity, which is especially valuable for industries and regions where mobility is crucial. By offering flat-panel, electronically steered antennas that can be installed on vehicles or vessels, InterSAT allows users to stay connected even in remote areas. This breakthrough addresses the limitations of traditional satellite services, further advancing communication capabilities across Africa.
