Equinix’s $124M data centre expansion hits Hong Kong

Equinix, a global digital infrastructure company, has announced a significant investment of $124 million to expand its presence in Hong Kong with the construction of a new purpose-built International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre, named HK6. This new facility will be interconnected with Equinix’s existing five data centres in the region, further strengthening its position as a central hub for data and economic exchange among multinational enterprises, local businesses, and mainland Chinese companies in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
