dtac’s history and development

dtac, formally known as Total Access Communication Public Company Limited, is a prominent telecommunications provider in Thailand. Established in August 1989 by the Bencharongkul family, the company initially operated under a “Build-Transfer-Operate” concession granted by CAT Telecom Public Company Limited. This allowed dtac to provide wireless telecommunications services in the 800 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands. In 2012, dtac Trinet, a subsidiary, obtained a spectrum licence for mobile telecommunications in the 2.1 GHz band from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). This expansion enabled dtac to offer services across multiple bands, enhancing its network capabilities and customer reach.

dtac’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient telecommunications services has positioned it as a key player in the Thai market. The company’s extensive network infrastructure and strategic acquisitions have allowed it to maintain a strong presence in the rapidly evolving telecommunications sector. By focusing on customer satisfaction and technological advancement, dtac continues to meet the growing demands of its users.
