- ComClark has partnered with Data Lake to expand Starlink satellite broadband coverage across the Philippines, focusing on remote and hard-to-reach areas.
- The collaboration will enhance ComClark’s existing fibre network with Starlink’s satellite technology, providing backup and primary connections where needed.
- Both companies aim to bring reliable, world-class digital connectivity to every Filipino, especially in underserved regions.
Pampanga-based technology firm ComClark, led by emerging tycoon Dennis Anthony Uy, has entered into a strategic partnership with tech company Data Lake to enhance the reach of Starlink satellite broadband across the Philippines. The agreement, signed on Thursday, July 18, marks a significant step in bringing advanced digital connectivity to even the most remote areas of the country.
ComClark, the parent company of leading fibre Internet provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc., is poised to leverage Starlink’s low earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology to complement its existing fibre network. Data Lake, the authorised Starlink reseller in the Philippines, will provide managed services to strengthen and bolster the resilience of ComClark’s network, particularly in areas that are difficult to reach with traditional fibre optic cables.
Digital connectivity is a right of everyone
“We have always believed that digital connectivity is a right of everyone so this collaboration with Data Lake brings us closer to realising that vision to connect every Filipino using world-class broadband technologies,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO of ComClark and Converge. Uy emphasised that satellite connectivity is particularly valuable for reaching remote islands and mountainous regions and as a backup for critical infrastructure.
