BMC Software Asia Pacific: Strategic Division to Drive Growth

BMC Software, a global leader in IT solutions, has unveiled plans to divide into two distinct entities: BMC and BMC Helix. This strategic move aims to enhance growth and innovation within the Asia Pacific region. BMC will focus on AI-driven infrastructure software, encompassing Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation and digital business automation units. BMC Helix will concentrate on digital service and operations management, applying AI to lead the industry and expand market share.

The IT service management industry faces challenges such as integrating AI responsibly, ensuring data governance, and managing environmental impacts. Anjul Bhambhri, SVP of Adobe Experience Cloud, emphasised the importance of transparency and customer-centric approaches in AI strategy development. She advised that businesses must stay agile by closely listening to customers to identify and address specific needs. Bhambhri underscored the significance of transparent data governance and adherence to regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and FERPA to build trust and manage customer data responsibly. ​
