    BMC Software Asia Pacific: Splits to Accelerate AI-Driven Innovation

    • BMC Software has announced a two-way split, forming BMC and BMC Helix, to better serve the Asia Pacific market with specialised AI-driven solutions.
    • The move is designed to capitalise on the company’s innovation pipeline and expand its market capabilities in digital operations and service management.

    BMC Software Asia Pacific: Strategic Division to Drive Growth

    BMC Software, a global leader in IT solutions, has unveiled plans to divide into two distinct entities: BMC and BMC Helix. This strategic move aims to enhance growth and innovation within the Asia Pacific region. BMC will focus on AI-driven infrastructure software, encompassing Intelligent Z Optimization and Transformation and digital business automation units. BMC Helix will concentrate on digital service and operations management, applying AI to lead the industry and expand market share.

    Ayman Sayed, CEO and President of BMC Software stated, “BMC is an industry leader and key strategic partner to our customers in their AI-driven, multi-cloud journey. As a result, our financial strength, underpinned by our continued growth, has allowed us to reach critical mass in size so that we can accelerate growth for each business and create even greater customer value with two market-leading companies.”

    BMC Software Asia Pacific: Navigating AI and Compliance in a Shifting Tech Landscape

    The IT service management industry faces challenges such as integrating AI responsibly, ensuring data governance, and managing environmental impacts. Anjul Bhambhri, SVP of Adobe Experience Cloud, emphasised the importance of transparency and customer-centric approaches in AI strategy development. She advised that businesses must stay agile by closely listening to customers to identify and address specific needs. Bhambhri underscored the significance of transparent data governance and adherence to regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and FERPA to build trust and manage customer data responsibly. ​

    BMC’s division into two entities reflects a broader trend in the industry to specialise and focus on core competencies. By creating BMC and BMC Helix, the company aims to provide more targeted solutions to meet the evolving needs of businesses in the Asia Pacific region. This move will enhance BMC’s ability to innovate and deliver value in a rapidly changing technological landscape.​
