OUR TAKE
Coinme’s new cash-to-crypto feature simplifies cryptocurrency transactions, providing users with swift and seamless conversion of cash into digital assets directly within their Coinme wallet. This innovative feature not only simplifies transactions but also opens up new avenues for individuals to participate in the cryptocurrency market. By bridging the gap between traditional cash transactions and the digital realm of cryptocurrencies, the cash-to-crypto feature enhances financial inclusivity and promotes wider adoption of digital currencies. As the cryptocurrency market continues to mature, the ability to seamlessly transition between cash and crypto represents a significant step toward mainstream acceptance and integration.

Coinme, a well-established cryptocurrency cash exchange in the U.S., unveiled a cash-to-crypto experience. This latest offering facilitates seamless and nearly instantaneous conversion of cash into cryptocurrency directly within the Coinme wallet.

Cash-to-crypto transactions nationwide

After purchasing cryptocurrency with cash at over 9,700 Coinstar kiosks—partnered with Coinme and functioning as bitcoin ATM machines—across 49 states, the acquired cryptocurrency is seamlessly loaded into the Coinme wallet within seconds.

Additionally, Coinme customers now benefit from increased purchasing limits, enabling them to acquire up to $9,500 in cryptocurrency daily and up to $60,000 monthly for cash transactions.

Enhanced security and efficiency

Neil Bergquist, CEO and co-founder of Coinme emphasised: “We want to make the cash-to-crypto buying experience as simple as possible. Automatically loading crypto to the Coinme Wallet after purchasing it at a Coinstar kiosk makes it more streamlined than ever for both the first-time and experienced crypto users.

“Now the purchase is linked directly to the customer’s mobile phone number and loaded into their Coinme wallet all before they leave the grocery store.”

Automated redemption, a process devoid of the necessity for physical receipts, presents a seamless transactional experience while effectively addressing concerns regarding the misplacement or potential hacking of sensitive financial information.

This streamlined approach not only enhances efficiency but also instills confidence and security among users, knowing that their financial data remains safeguarded throughout the process.

Coinme guarantees a safe and easy transaction procedure by immediately connecting purchases to a mobile phone number at the kiosk.

Reinan Lima, Head of Product at Coinme, affirmed: “We’re committed to providing the simplest and most convenient access to crypto in the U.S. Coinme sets the standard for positive user experiences in crypto, reducing friction in access to digital assets and aligning with the industry’s trajectory towards mainstream adoption.”
