    Beijing Approves Five AI Models for Public

    The first batch of large AI model products in Beijing has received official approval for public access. The development came after these models passed the “Interim Measures for the Management of Generative AI Services.” 

    Since August 31st, five of such models have gradually become available to the general public. Alongside, Shanghai has also approved the launch of large model products.

     Prominent AI Models in Beijing 

    China marches strong towards AI advancement with five advanced AI models at the helm:

    1. Baidu’s Wenxin Yiyu, developed by tech giant Baidu, offers a wide range of generative AI services.

    2. Douyin’s Yunque Douyin, the popular short video platform, presents Yunque as one of its flagship large models, promising innovative AI-driven solutions.

    3. Baichuan Intelligence’s Baichuan Large Model delivers cutting-edge AI services across various domains.

    4. Zhipu Huazhang’s Zhipu Qingyan, an AI company affiliated with Tsinghua University, offers advanced AI-generated content.

    5. Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Zidong Taichu, developed by the prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences, contributes to the advancement of AI research.

    As of today, Baidu’s Wenxin Yiyu, Baichuan Large Model, and Zhipu Qingyan have officially announced their compliance with the “Interim Measures for the Management of Generative AI Services” and are open to serving the general public. These models are expected to revolutionize the AI landscape and bring innovative solutions to various sectors.Public access could push China’s AI development further and faster, as human feedback could be used to train for better accuracy and response quality.
