Nokia has announced a partnership with TIM Brazil to expand 5G radio access network coverage across 15 Brazilian states, set to begin in January 2025. Under this agreement, Nokia will provide TIM with a variety of advanced 5G equipment from its AirScale portfolio, including baseband units, Massive MIMO radios, and Remote Radio Head products, all powered by the energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology.
In addition to hardware, TIM will utilise Nokia’s intelligent MantaRay Networks Management system, which features AI capabilities for enhanced network oversight.
