  • Tesla plans to construct the world’s largest supercharging station in Yeehaw Junction, Florida, with over 200 stalls, as per recent site plans submitted to Osceola County.
  • The project is currently in its initial stages and includes approximately 160 V3 superchargers, 40 standalone chargers, and provisions for megawatt-level battery energy storage units.
  • Tesla aims to expand access to its supercharging stations to other electric vehicle brands while also developing innovative supercharging stations with unique amenities, such as a 1950s-style car restaurant and an outdoor cinema, in Los Angeles, California.

Tesla plans to build a supercharging station with over 200 stalls in Yeehaw Junction, Florida, making it the world’s largest. According to site plans submitted during a project pre-application meeting with Osceola County last month, the supercharging station will be located at Yeehaw Junction, specifically at 60 State Road 3010, near the intersection of Florida Toll Road 193 and Interstate 95.

It will include approximately 160 V3 superchargers and 40 standalone chargers

The project is currently in its preliminary stages, with plans indicating that the station will include approximately 160 V3 superchargers and 40 standalone chargers, including 8 stalls for trailer use. According to information from Tesla enthusiast MarcoRPi1, the project will be constructed and opened in three phases.

The construction of the project is being managed by GPD Group Inc., and the site plans also include up to 4 megawatt-level battery energy storage units, potentially located near the distribution cabinets. In February of this year, Tesla also submitted plans to build a supercharging station with 164 stalls in Kern County, California, which would be larger than any currently operational supercharging station.

Tesla will open up its supercharging stations to other electric vehicle brands

Tesla is currently beginning to open up the use of its supercharging stations to other electric vehicle brands, with announcements last month that its charging stations are now open to Ford and Rivian electric vehicles. It is expected that future electric vehicles from General Motors (GM), Polestar, and its parent company Volvo will also be able to use Tesla’s supercharging network.

Additionally, Tesla is constructing a unique concept supercharging station in Los Angeles, California, which will include a 1950s-style car restaurant, an outdoor cinema with dual screens, and approximately 32 charging stalls.
