Policy development and global cooperation

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has announced that the ICANN 83 Policy Forum will be held from 9 to 12 June 2025 at the Prague Congress Center in the Czech Republic. This hybrid four-day event will center on current policy development, stakeholder outreach, and open networking opportunities across the global internet community.

As a cornerstone event in the ICANN calendar, the Policy Forum offers a collaborative space where governments, businesses, civil society, and technical experts come together to shape the future of internet governance. For companies like LARUS, which specialise in IPv4 address leasing and management, ICANN 83 presents a vital platform to engage in high-level discussions on IP address allocation, internet infrastructure, and the strategic policies that underpin global connectivity.

ICANN 83 is uniquely structured to promote deep engagement with policy work in progress. With a focus on DNS governance, IP resource challenges, and the implementation of transparent, inclusive internet standards, the forum is instrumental in guiding how digital resources are managed and distributed worldwide.

Networking at the heart of the internet community

Beyond its core policy sessions, ICANN 83 offers a vibrant space for meaningful interaction among global internet stakeholders. From structured outreach programs to spontaneous hallway conversations, the forum fosters a culture of collaboration that’s essential to shaping a cohesive, resilient internet. Attendees will have daily opportunities to engage with peers from government, business, civil society, and the technical community—building relationships that drive policy alignment, infrastructure development, and long-term cooperation. For organisations like LARUS, which operate at the nexus of digital infrastructure and regulatory policy, this environment is ideal for forging partnerships, sharing insights, and contributing to the future of global connectivity.
