  • Partnership focuses on scalable outdoor private 5G deployments for enterprises and critical infrastructure.
  • Companies combine radio hardware and virtualised network platforms to accelerate Open RAN adoption.

What happened: partnership targets outdoor mission-critical private 5G

Antevia Networks and Benetel have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate deployment of scalable outdoor private 5G networks for enterprise and mission-critical use. The collaboration integrates Antevia’s enterprise private 5G platform with Benetel’s Open RAN-compliant radio units to deliver high-performance connectivity across large industrial and infrastructure environments.

The joint solution targets sectors such as ports, utilities, transport hubs and large campuses, where reliable wireless coverage across wide outdoor areas remains challenging. Benetel develops radio units designed for both indoor and outdoor 5G networks, supporting high capacity and Open RAN interoperability. Antevia focuses on virtualised radio access network software and private cellular platforms built for enterprise deployment. Through the partnership, the companies aim to create flexible systems that scale easily while maintaining the reliability required for mission-critical applications. More details were outlined in the partnership announcement.

Why this is important

Private 5G networks are gaining momentum as industries seek more control over connectivity, security and performance. Unlike public cellular networks, private systems are deployed within specific sites and can prioritise business-critical applications such as automation, remote operations and real-time data processing. Large industrial environments often require reliable outdoor connectivity across wide areas, which traditional Wi-Fi networks struggle to provide.

The collaboration also highlights the growing influence of Open RAN technology in enterprise networks. Open RAN separates hardware and software components of the radio access network, allowing organisations to combine solutions from multiple suppliers instead of relying on a single vendor ecosystem. This approach can reduce costs and accelerate innovation across the telecom infrastructure market.

Demand for private wireless networks continues to rise in sectors including manufacturing, logistics, energy and transport. As enterprises expand digital operations and automation, resilient wireless connectivity becomes essential. Partnerships like this one show how specialised vendors are working together to deliver integrated private 5G solutions capable of supporting complex industrial deployments and large outdoor infrastructure environments.
