US-based infrastructure company Aligned Data Centers has announced the development of a massive new data campus in Marysville, Ohio. The 1.7GW facility will be constructed on a 129-acre site and is designed to serve growing artificial intelligence (AI) workloads and hyperscale clients across the Midwest. According to the official press release, the site will comprise over 2.3 million square feet of capacity when fully built out.
The expansion brings Aligned’s total pipeline to over 3GW of capacity across North America. Aligned’s patented cooling technology and focus on sustainable infrastructure position it well for the high-power demands of AI and machine learning models. Marysville’s proximity to multiple utility partners and major transport routes was cited as a key advantage.
