Services and capabilities of Vipnet

Vipnet began over 20 years ago under the Afrique Technologies & Services group. The company delivers internet access, voice, data and telecom services across Côte d’Ivoire. It holds licences to operate in radio bands including 3.5 GHz, 10 GHz and 18 GHz. These bands support LTE, WiMax, VSAT and fixed wireless services. Vipnet also provides interconnection services, VPN/MPLS, IP transit and dedicated bandwidth for carriers and businesses.

The company manages a modern data centre and a 24/7 network operations centre. It offers hosting, cloud computing and virtualised infrastructure for clients. Vipnet increased its capital to CFAF 304 million after a partnership with an investment fund in 2013. In 2020, Vipnet became the exclusive telecom operator for the national technology village VITIB. Its technical team ensures network quality, routing and continuous client support. The company’s services cover both public and private sectors, helping to support national digital infrastructure.

Network infrastructure and strategic partnerships

Vipnet owns network infrastructure with presence in major Ivorian cities. It connects to multiple international submarine cables, including SAT‑3, WACS and MAIN. These connections provide high-speed internet to local and regional users. The firm uses fibre, microwave, radio and VSAT to build national coverage. Its network supports backhaul, last-mile access and business interconnection. Vipnet builds a ring topology with points of presence supporting 10GE traffic.

The company offers reliable fixed broadband, cloud access, and secure enterprise solutions. In 2023, Vipnet announced a strategic partnership to extend connectivity through a regional platform. This partnership enhances its ability to deliver SDN and cloud-based services across Africa. Vipnet continues to upgrade capacity, ensure service stability, and improve access. It serves government, enterprise, ISP and wholesale customers with tailored network solutions. Its infrastructure supports Côte d’Ivoire’s growth in ICT and digital services.
