Liberty Networks, Gold Data, and Sparkle have partnered to develop the MANTA subsea cable system, a 5,600 km submarine cable designed to connect the USA, Mexico, Panama, and Colombia. The system will feature new landing points in Veracruz, Mexico, and Apalachee, Florida, providing low-latency routes to major data hubs in Mexico City, Queretaro, Bogota, and Panama City. The MANTA cable is expected to support a minimum capacity of 20 terabits per second (Tbps) per fiber pair and is anticipated to be operational by 2027.
