  • MAA10 in Chennai, India now certified as NVIDIA DGX-Ready, equipped for high density AI and GPU workloads.
  • The facility meets global standards—ASHRAE W2 cooling, N+2C power redundancy, TIA-942 Rating 3, IGBC Platinum—and integrates with PlatformDIGITAL®, driving scalable AI innovation.

What happened: India’s First NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Centre Opens in Chennai

Digital Connexion, a joint venture between Brookfield Asset Management, Reliance Industries, and Digital Realty, has officially launched India’s first NVIDIA DGX-Ready data centre—MAA10—situated in the Ambattur neighbourhood of Chennai, India. The DGX-Ready certification marks MAA10’s capability to support accelerated computing workloads, crucial for AI training and inference using GPU-intensive systems.

The facility is purpose built for resilience and performance. It adheres to ASHRAE W2 thermal guidelines, supports both air and liquid cooling configurations, and uses a unique N+2C power architecture to ensure high uptime. With TIA-942 Rated 3 certification and an IGBC Platinum environmental rating, MAA10 blends reliability with sustainability. Integration into Digital Realty’s PlatformDIGITAL® offers enterprises seamless access to a global AI-optimised infrastructure network.

Why it’s important

As AI adoption surges across India’s industries, the ability to process and manage ever-growing volumes of data—often referred to as “data gravity”—is increasingly essential. According to one industry forecast, Delhi alone is expected to generate around 12.3 k exabytes of data by the end of 2025, underlining the urgency for capable data infrastructure. MAA10 offers a solution by providing high-density GPU support, robust cooling, and power redundancy designed specifically for AI workloads.

Moreover, embedding the facility within the broader PlatformDIGITAL® ecosystem enhances access for Indian enterprises to global digital infrastructure, helping them scale AI innovation while overcoming geographic constraints.

From a strategic standpoint, establishing such an advanced and resilient facility in Chennai reinforces India’s position in the AI infrastructure landscape—encouraging research institutions, technology firms, and enterprises to evolve their capabilities domestically.
