  • IDNOG 10 returns to Jakarta with workshops and a full-day conference on 24 July, uniting over 800 network professionals across key sectors.
  • From Baltic rerouting to AI datacentres, IDNOG 10 showcases global insights in automation, security, and routing infrastructure.
  • Hands-on workshops from 21–23 July offer deep dives into fibre, DNS, NetOps, and automation with guidance from leading industry experts.

Jakarta readies for Indonesia’s foremost network operator gathering

The Indonesia Network Operators’ Group (IDNOG) is set to host its landmark 10th conference from 21 to 24 July 2025, attracting over 800 participants from ISPs, NAPs, telcos, regulators, academia, and the tech startup ecosystem. Known for fostering technical excellence and industry collaboration, IDNOG 10 will take place across two venues in Jakarta: workshops will run from 21–23 July at ASTON Kartika Grogol Hotel & Conference, while the main conference and exhibition on 24 July will be held at Pullman Jakarta Central Park Hotel, Podomoro City.

Organised by a community of volunteers, IDNOG remains independent and not-for-profit, serving as a vital platform for Indonesia’s Internet infrastructure community. This year’s edition invites contributions for presentations, tutorials, and panel discussions, underscoring the event’s role as both a learning forum and a meeting ground for the region’s most influential network professionals.

Main conference day: Network automation, security, infrastructure

IDNOG 10’s main conference will take place on 24 July at the Pullman Jakarta Central Park Hotel, offering a full-day programme from 08:00 to 19:00. The day opens with remarks from IDNOG Chair Rommy Kuntoro, APJII’s Muhammad Arif, and a keynote by Sylvia Sumarlin, Senior Advisor at the Indonesian Federation of Information Technology (FTII).

Technical sessions throughout the day will explore automation, security, routing, and data centre evolution. Ashton Son from Digital Realty Bersama leads the morning talks, followed by Yoshinobu Matsuzaki on IRR and ROA, and Aditya Kaul with a Tier-1 automation case study. Afternoon speakers include Lia Hestina on Baltic cable rerouting, Champika Wijayatunga on DNS security best practices, and Affan Basalamah sharing his experience building an AI datacentre at home.

Workshops: Hands-on with fibre, DNS, and NetOps

From 21 to 23 July, IDNOG 10 will host a series of hands-on workshops at ASTON Kartika Grogol Hotel & Conference. Topics cover fibre optic network design with PoF Gen-2 (Praja Saputra), Ubiquiti full stack systems (Iskandar Imam Soeriyanto), MikroTik Certified Security Engineering (Muhti Subiyantoro), and network automation with APNIC (Makito Lay).

Further sessions include agile NetOps with Yahya, datacentre fabric deployment using Containerlab led by Nokia’s Bastien Claeys and Thomas Corre, and DNS, DNSSEC, and KINDNS training delivered by ICANN’s Champika Wijayatunga. These workshops offer participants a valuable opportunity to deepen technical knowledge in a focused, collaborative setting.
