What happened: Google reveals Android 16, Wear OS 6, and Gemini AI expansions

On May 13, 2025, during The Android Show I/O Edition, Google announced significant updates across its platforms. Android 16 debuts with the Material 3 Expressive design, featuring dynamic color themes, responsive components, and updated typography. Wear OS 6 aligns with this new design language, offering fluid animations and a refreshed user interface.

The Gemini AI assistant is set to expand beyond smartphones, integrating into Wear OS smartwatches, Android Auto-enabled cars, and Google TVs. These updates aim to enhance user experience through improved personalization and seamless AI integration across devices.
