What happened 

Globe has partnered with Red Hat, Inc. to modernise its IT infrastructure through the Red Hat Open Innovation Labs, aiming to improve customer experience significantly. According to Marjet Andriesse, senior vice president at Red Hat APJC, this collaboration has been crucial for Globe in enhancing its technological capabilities.

By utilising Red Hat’s open-source solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift, Globe has improved its IT environment, achieving greater agility and scalability. Globe’s engineers worked alongside Red Hat to integrate various open-source technologies, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, developer productivity, and team collaboration.

The teams successfully migrated initial application modules onto Red Hat OpenShift and established new processes to support the platform’s scaling and future migrations. Raul Macatangay, Globe’s CIO, expressed that this partnership has played a vital role in their digital transformation journey, enabling quicker innovations and fostering a culture of teamwork focused on enhancing customer experience.
