  • DE-CIX and GCX have entered into a partnership to resell DE-CIX’s Indian services to international customers.
  • This partnership will allow DE-CIX to leverage GCX’s global subsea infrastructure to better meet international demand.

What happened

DE-CIX and Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) have formed a partnership to enhance international connectivity. This collaboration allows DE-CIX India to leverage GCX’s subsea cable infrastructure, which spans regions such as the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the U.S. The alliance is intended to boost DE-CIX’s service capabilities and broaden its reach to support high-speed data transmission for global markets.

Why it is important

This partnership brings first and foremost opportunities for global market expansion. With GCX’s global submarine cable network, startups are able to access faster and more stable cross-border data transfers via DE-CIX, making it easier to enter international markets and expand seamlessly.

In addition, higher connectivity means potential cost savings. A stable network infrastructure can help startups reduce data transfer costs and improve the price/performance ratio of their services, allowing them to invest more of their budget in the development of their core business.

At the same time, this infrastructure improves the overall stability of the business. Efficient network support reduces the risk of network outages and provides more reliable technology for the day-to-day operations of the business, resulting in more stable services.

Finally, an enhanced network infrastructure provides support for startups to access a wider technology ecosystem, such as connecting to cloud services and the Internet of Things. With such an infrastructure, organisations are able to integrate innovative technologies faster, driving continued business innovation and growth.
