Bernard Borghei leaves Symphony Towers leadership

  • Bernard Borghei leaves his role as CEO of Symphony Towers Infrastructure as the company appoints an interim leader.
  • The leadership change comes amid increased demand for 5G and shared wireless infrastructure across North America.

What happened: Borghei exits symphony towers

Symphony Towers Infrastructure has announced that Bernard Borghei has officially stepped down from his position as Chief Executive Officer. Borghei, a seasoned telecom and data infrastructure executive, joined Symphony Towers to guide the company’s early growth following its launch in 2022.

During his tenure, he focused on developing wireless infrastructure across North America, leveraging his experience from previous roles at Vertical Bridge and American Tower. The leadership change comes as the company continues to scale its portfolio of shared infrastructure assets, including tower and small cell deployments. Symphony Towers has reiterated its commitment to continuity, noting that operations and strategic partnerships will continue without disruption.

Why it’s important

Bernard Borghei’s departure from Symphony Towers comes at a time of rising demand for neutral-host wireless infrastructure in North America. As a well-known figure in the telecom space, his exit may indicate a strategic recalibration at a company still in its early growth phase. Borghei’s leadership helped build Symphony’s credibility, drawing on his past roles at firms like Vertical Bridge.

With 5G rollout and network densification accelerating, infrastructure providers are under pressure to deliver adaptable and efficient solutions. The appointment of interim leadership—and the eventual choice of a new CEO—will be closely watched, as it could shape the company’s approach to expansion, capital strategy, and evolving technologies such as edge computing and Open RAN.
