What happened: ARIN concludes ICP-2 Principles Consultation to update RIR criteria
On January 22, 2025, ARIN announced the completion of the Internet Coordination Policy-2 (ICP-2) Principles Consultation. This consultation, initiated by the Number Resource Organization (NRO), sought input from the global internet community on revising the principles that guide the establishment of new RIRs.
The Address Supporting Organization Address Council (ASO AC) has been working to update ICP-2 to ensure the policy remains relevant in the face of evolving global internet infrastructure and governance needs.
