  • Xyberdata is a Mauritius-based ISP offering network services and specialised cybersecurity consulting with a dual-AS setup.
  • It focuses on low-latency, secure connectivity for local businesses, positioning itself as a niche player in a competitive telecom market.

Xyberdata: Tailoring network services for locals

Founded in 2023 and based in Port Louis, Xyberdata Ltd operates as a small yet modern internet service provider in Mauritius. The company owns its own IP network under two autonomous systems—AS5536 and AS37725—with 512 IPv4 addresses. Peering with two other networks and using two upstream carriers, it provides reliable low-latency connectivity to local businesses and niche segments.

Xyberdata: Focused cybersecurity and ancillary solutions

Xyberdata’s business model centres on offering cybersecurity consulting and ancillary network services. While details are limited online, its registration as a service provider for multi-faceted cybersecurity indicates a specialised market focus, especially for businesses that prefer local, tailored support .

Xyberdata: Positioning within Mauritian telecom ecosystem

Although small compared to giants such as Mauritius Telecom (AS23889) and Bharat Telecom (AS37455), Xyberdata ranks among the top 12 Mauritian ASes with a peering score indicating active network presence. Its dual-AS setup reflects technical maturity uncommon for niche operators in the region.

Xyberdata: Industry challenges and niche opportunity

Mauritius’s telecom arena is shifting rapidly, with major players rolling out 5G and expanding FTTH. Nonetheless, small ISPs like Xyberdata are carving out space by focusing on cybersecurity, low-latency network performance, and personalised services. Local demand for specialised support and secure, dependable connectivity remains strong.
