Tarsus On Demand: Enabling access to cloud solutions

Tarsus On Demand (Pty) Ltd, rebranded as Cloud On Demand, is a South African technology company that helps businesses access and manage cloud services. It was established in 2012 and has grown into a leading cloud enablement platform in the country. The company provides services to managed service providers (MSPs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and IT resellers who want to deliver scalable cloud solutions to local clients.

Cloud On Demand acts as an aggregator for global cloud platforms. It connects its partners with providers such as Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, and Acronis. It also offers support tools, billing automation, and compliance assistance. The company provides access to a digital marketplace that allows partners to deploy and manage cloud services with minimal overhead.

Tarsus On Demand focuses on three pillars: aggregation, enablement, and support. Its enablement programmes include training, technical guidance, and business consulting. These services help partners develop the capabilities needed to meet client demands. The support systems offered by the company ensure stability and help clients reduce their reliance on complex in-house infrastructure.

Tarsus On Demand: Facing industry challenges and growth

The South African cloud industry is expanding, but there are several challenges. These include limited data centre infrastructure, high connectivity costs, and a shortage of cloud-ready skills. Cloud On Demand addresses these issues by simplifying access to infrastructure and offering training for partners. Its strategy reflects a need for local solutions that are supported by global infrastructure.

The company’s recent rebranding as Cloud On Demand reflects a shift towards a broader cloud identity. It signals the company’s intention to expand its capabilities beyond distribution. On its website, the company states that its goal is to “make cloud accessible to the Southern African market” and to support the growth of its partners across industries.Cloud On Demand is part of the Alviva Holdings group and operates alongside other Tarsus entities. The company remains committed to growing the local cloud ecosystem by making global services available to South African businesses.
