  • TVCABO expands high-speed internet and IPTV services through fibre and hybrid networks in Angola’s urban hubs.
  • Its digital-first strategy and infrastructure upgrades aim to support Angola’s growing demand for connected living.

TVCABO: Building Angola’s digital foundation

TVCABO Angola, founded in 2006 as a joint venture between Angola Telecom and Portugal’s Visabeira group, has become a cornerstone in the country’s broadband and cable TV landscape. Its services—ranging from high-speed internet and IPTV to fixed voice—are tailored to urban households in Luanda and Benguela, with expansion planned across provinces.

Using modern HFC and FTTH networks, TVCABO offers flexible “Double Play” and “Triple Play” packages designed for digital-first lifestyles. The company also leads in digital service platforms, providing mobile apps and online tools for seamless self-service, aligning with Angola’s increasingly mobile-centric user behaviour.

Fibre, Innovation and the race to connect

As Angola’s telecom market matures, providers face growing demand and structural hurdles—particularly infrastructure costs and limited rural coverage. TVCABO’s steady investment in fibre infrastructure and service innovation positions it to meet these challenges. In a region eyeing OTT media, 4K streaming, and smart-home ecosystems, TVCABO’s capacity to modernise backend systems and partner on content will define its competitiveness.

Regulatory bodies like INACOM are also shaping the sector’s future, adding both pressure and opportunity. With its combined Portuguese tech roots and local expertise, TVCABO is uniquely placed to lead Angola’s next wave of digital transformation—connecting users not just to the internet, but to a smarter, more integrated future.
