Raya Holding: Driving Egypt’s Tech-Led growth across industries

  • Operates 11 portfolio companies spanning technology, retail, manufacturing, and fintech
  • Over 18,000 employees supporting growth in MENA, Europe, and Sub-Saharan Africa

Raya Holding: A regional powerhouse with global reach

Founded in 1999, Raya Holding for Financial Investments has evolved into one of Egypt’s most influential conglomerates, operating at the intersection of technology, consumer markets, and industrial services. Listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) since 2005, the company has built a robust portfolio of 11 subsidiaries across critical sectors—including information technology, contact centre outsourcing, smart buildings, logistics, and fintech.

Headquartered in Cairo, Raya has expanded beyond Egypt, establishing operations in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Poland, Nigeria, and Tanzania. This international presence supports a client base spanning four continents and is powered by a workforce of over 18,000 professionals.

“Raya’s strength lies in its ability to pivot across sectors while anchoring everything in technology,” said Medhat Khalil, Founder and Chairman, in an earlier statement on the company’s long-term vision.

Raya Holding’s diversified strategy tackles regional challenges

Raya’s model responds directly to challenges in the MENA region, including unemployment, digital lag, and supply chain inefficiencies. Its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) arm, Raya CX, supports global brands with customer experience services from Egypt and the Gulf, creating thousands of local jobs. Meanwhile, Raya Trade and Distributionbrings global electronics and appliance brands to Egypt’s growing consumer base.

Raya’s investments in financial inclusion are equally notable. Through its fintech arm Aman, the company is pushing digital payments and microfinance to underserved populations. As cashless ecosystems rise across Africa and the Middle East, Raya is seizing the momentum.

The company is also betting on sustainability and circular economy trends, such as in its e-waste recycling initiative and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
