  • Operates under ICASA-licensed CECNS and CECS regulatory frameworks
  • Offers symmetrical broadband and optional VOIP for homes and businesses

Service model: Net Hog internet solutions delivers symmetrical broadband

Net Hog Internet Solutions is a South African internet provider trading under Pyroca 3cc. The company offers uncapped broadband via fibre and wireless to both residential and business customers. All plans feature symmetrical upload and download speeds. Services are delivered under valid CECNS and CECS licences issued by the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA). The company’s core operations are based in the Mpumalanga region, where it focuses on last-mile connectivity and consistent service uptime.

Product structure: Fibre and wireless plans support diverse user needs

Net Hog provides symmetrical fibre packages that enable seamless streaming, remote work, and cloud access. These fibre services come with uncapped data and high reliability. For areas where fibre cannot be deployed, the company offers fixed wireless plans that extend internet access using local base stations. These packages also support optional telephone add-ons using VOIP. Prices start at approximately R250, making them accessible for small businesses and households. Support is available during weekday office hours, and service continuity is prioritized in all deployments.

Market position: Regional ISPs adapt through hybrid infrastructure

In South Africa’s broadband sector, smaller ISPs must overcome infrastructure gaps, high rollout costs, and limited national peering. Net Hog addresses these barriers by deploying hybrid networks that use both fibre and wireless to reach underserved areas. The use of symmetrical plans aligns with global trends where upload speed is becoming as critical as download speed. The company operates under ASN AS328164 and peers at NAPAfrica in Johannesburg, which helps improve traffic efficiency and reduce latency across the network.
