Host Africa acquisitions extend continental reach
Host Africa (Pty) Ltd, trading as HOSTAFRICA, continues to expand its footprint across Africa with a string of strategic acquisitions. In July 2025, the company confirmed its acquisition of Kenya’s EAC Directory, effective from December 2022, signalling a new East African presence.
Earlier, Host Africa acquired DigiServ Technologies CC in September 2022, with MD Rudi Burger joining the team, alongside his clients and industry expertise. These expansion efforts reflect the company’s mission of uniting a fragmented hosting market and elevating local standards.

Host Africa innovates with partner programmer amid sector challenges
Host Africa launched an IT Partner Programmer in May 2024 for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), enabling access to robust virtual machines, dedicated servers, and colo services. The programme promises fast deployment, load‑shedding resilience, reduced hardware costs, scalable infrastructure, and premium support. Michael Osterloh praised the initiative: “This programmer allows us to partner up with MSPs… bolstering their business and ours”.
This innovation comes as the South African hosting industry grapples with severe challenges—particularly power costs, which remain a central concern for 24/7 operations.
Host Africa’s capabilities and offering
