Fixed Mobile Telecoms: Driving innovation in South Africa’s telecom sector

Founded in 2018 by Eduard du Plessis, Rikus Jansen, and Alex Dunwoodie, FMT quickly became a key player in South Africa’s corporate and carrier telecoms market. The founders previously launched the country’s first satellite broadband service in 1997. They bring decades of experience and a focus on innovation.

FMT focuses on solving the specific challenges of its clients. It offers managed digital infrastructure services, including SD-WAN, MPLS, VoIP, and hosted PBX, delivered on an “as-a-service” model. This approach allows businesses to scale efficiently while maintaining high service levels.

    Strategic partnerships expand reach

FMT partners with WISPs that are members of the Wireless Access Providers Association (WAPA). These partnerships extend FMT’s reach to metro and non-metro areas. By working closely with local WISPs, the company tailors solutions to the needs of each community.

A forward-thinking approach to telecom services

FMT prioritises innovation and customer service. It adapts its offerings based on client feedback, ensuring reliable and scalable telecom solutions. As South Africa’s digital economy grows, FMT plays a vital role in shaping the future of connectivity.
