  • Ecoband offers wireless microwave, fibre and satellite links across Ghana and neighbouring countries.
  • Projects for oil-rig connectivity and sports partnerships highlight its innovation and community role.

Ecoband Networks: Expands infrastructure with regional backbone

Ecoband Networks runs microwave networks across Accra, Kumasi and Tema and extends services through West Africa, reaching Côte d’Ivoire, Congo Brazzaville, Burkina Faso and Mali. It provides carrier services, last-mile reach, hosting and data centre options—including access to ETIX and tier-4 ONIX facilities—and fiber-optic and submarine-backed MPLS and IP offerings, all supported by earth-to-sea redundancy.

The firm also offers sovereign cloud solutions via Zadara at Ghana’s PAIX data centre, alongside VSAT services using C, Ku and Ka bands. Through a partnership with SWARM, it delivers global IoT satellite connectivity, enhancing its mesh of services.

Ecoband Networks: Innovates at the limits with project deployments

Founded in 2001 to supply satellite and Internet service in West Africa, Ecoband marks over two decades of enterprise and carrier-grade ISP experience. It peers with major backbone providers like Cogent, Level 3 and LINX in London, as well as Berlin Internet Exchange, and connects to CDNs such as Akamai, Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Netflix, signalling strategic global network reach.

The company recently delivered a critical voice and data solution for Hans and Co. Oil and Gas on the Saltpond offshore rig. It enabled constant comms for 80–100 staff via a custom-designed, cost-efficient system that surpassed traditional maritime VSAT options. Ecoband collaborated with neXat and Delaphone Ghana to meet rapid deployment, low-touch support, and high reliability requirements.

Beyond tech, Ecoband re-affirmed a sponsorship deal with Ghana Open golf representative Vincent Torgah and equips luxury golf clubs like Bok Nam Kim and Celebrity Golf Club with complimentary cloud-controlled Wi-Fi access, blending community outreach and brand visibility.
