    • DXC appoints SAP veteran Takehiro Nagatsuka to lead its new Japan-based practice focused on modernising enterprise ERP systems.
    • The initiative targets Japanese firms facing the 2027 SAP S/4HANA deadline, offering cloud transition support and industry-specific solutions.
    • DXC builds on 35 years of SAP experience to deliver measurable value across manufacturing, automotive, and retail sectors in Japan.

DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), a Fortune 500 global IT services provider, has launched a dedicated SAP practice in Japan, reinforcing its long-standing partnership with SAP and its strategic focus on business transformation in the region.

The new practice will be led by seasoned SAP expert Takehiro Nagatsuka, who has been appointed to oversee DXC’s SAP operations in Japan. His remit includes developing strategic direction, delivery excellence, and expanding local market engagement across key industries.

Supporting Japanese businesses through ERP transition

For many Japanese enterprises, the transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA ahead of the 2027 deadline is now a pressing concern. DXC’s enhanced SAP presence in Japan is designed to help organisations modernise their IT infrastructure and ensure business continuity, with a particular emphasis on manufacturing, automotive, and retail sectors.

Through its DXC Complete with SAP and Microsoft programme, the company offers a streamlined route to cloud-enabled ERP transformation. This initiative combines global expertise with local delivery, helping customers address complex system migrations, improve inventory and service operations, and achieve measurable efficiencies.

Hirofumi Suzuki, President and Representative Director at SAP Japan, welcomed the expansion, noting DXC’s “track record of delivering SAP-led value”. He expressed confidence that this move would present new opportunities for Japanese organisations seeking digital maturity in a cloud-driven landscape.

Building on three decades of SAP experience

With over 15,000 SAP professionals globally and more than 280 SAP implementations in the Asia-Pacific region, DXC brings deep experience to the Japanese market. The company’s focus is on delivering tangible outcomes from SAP investments, rather than simply deploying technology.

“This expansion signals our commitment to helping Japanese clients realise the full potential of their SAP systems,” said Keith Costello, Global Managing Director and SAP Lead, DXC Consulting and Engineering Services. “We are here not just as a solution provider, but as a business partner with long-term impact.”

DXC is an SAP Global Strategic Service Partner and the recipient of multiple SAP awards, including the 2025 Pinnacle Award for Partner Learning and Skills Growth. Its SAP practice is recognised for enabling after-sales service performance, improving demand forecasting, and driving operational excellence.
