  • Cybersmart has been a cornerstone in South Africa’s internet infrastructure since 1998, offering reliable, locally hosted services.
  • The company is addressing industry challenges through strategic innovations and partnerships, enhancing performance and scalability.

Cybersmart: A legacy of local hosting excellence

Cybersmart, which was founded in 1998, has led the way in South Africa’s internet service market. All of their servers are hosted locally as an aspect of its commitment to delivering credible, cost-effective hosting solutions, maintaining top performance for South African companies. To address the various needs of small and medium-sized businesses, this company offers shared hosting, VPS, cloud hosting, and domain registration.

Cybersmart’s infrastructure suggests the dedication to quality. They have chosen an active approach towards sustainability by selecting solar energy solutions for reduced electricity costs. In addition to decrease expenses related to operation, this initiative reinforces global trends towards environmentally friendly corporate practices.

Cybersmart: Innovating to overcome industry challenges

High power costs and demands for ongoing maintenance are two of the several problems directed the South African hosting sector. Given strategic innovations, Cybersmart is diligently addressing these challenges. They made a significant step by transforming their storage infrastructure while working with Hexion, a South African data storage company. Because of this partnership, the storage costs have decreased by 60%, improving Cybersmart’s services’ scalability and performance.

Laurie Fialkov, the founder and chief technologies officer, centred the significance of this collaboration by saying, “With Hexion, we’ve found a partner who can match our performance requirements, deliver greater resilience, and reduce our storage costs by more than 60%.” This tactical change highlights Cybersmart’s zeal to upholding the most advanced standards of service quality while negotiating the changing needs of the hosting category.
