CIRAS boosts IT training to meet Congo’s digital demands

The Centre de Formation en Informatique CIRAS recently hosted Professor Samuel Ouya, a certified expert from CAMES, signalling its commitment to expert-led training and quality education in information technology. CIRAS plays a crucial role in developing the digital workforce in Congo, offering specialised courses that address the fast-evolving needs of the local and regional IT sector. With increasing demand for skilled professionals in areas such as software development, network management, and cybersecurity, CIRAS’s practical and theory-driven programmes prepare students for real-world challenges.

As digital transformation accelerates across Africa, training centres like CIRAS face the challenge of keeping curricula current with emerging technologies. The centre actively works to integrate up-to-date digital tools and methods, ensuring that learners acquire skills relevant to today’s tech environment. Its approach also includes fostering partnerships with industry experts to maintain high training standards, which was demonstrated by the visit of Professor Samuel Ouya, whose expertise contributes to enhancing the centre’s academic quality.

CIRAS innovation and industry challenges shape future IT education

In addition to training, CIRAS is at the forefront of addressing wider industry challenges such as infrastructure gaps and limited access to technology. The centre recognises that alongside education, broader systemic improvements are needed to support Congo’s IT sector growth. CIRAS’s efforts to incorporate new digital learning platforms and remote access capabilities are examples of how it adapts to these challenges, expanding access and flexibility for students.

Innovation remains a priority, with CIRAS exploring emerging technologies like cloud computing and artificial intelligence as part of its curriculum development. This aligns with the broader digital transformation goals in Congo and the Central African region, which demand a workforce capable of driving and sustaining technological progress. By continuing to evolve its offerings and collaborating with certified experts, CIRAS positions itself as a key player in Congo’s digital future.
