  • Cengage ANZ supplies textbooks, digital texts and education platforms to institutions throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Its resources support both universities and vocational schools.
  • As the world of publishing moves further into digital space, the company adapts by growing its online learning systems and refining tools that meet today’s hybrid classroom demands.

Cengage ANZ: local footprint and strategy

Cengage ANZ describes itself on LinkedIn as a creator of “online learning platforms, textbooks, eTextbooks and digital tools,” and highlights its record as an award-winning education partner in the region. Its Australian website identifies it as the leading provider of textbooks and learning technology for higher education and VET institutions.

The company manages more than 22,000 published titles, over 600 software applications, and millions of source materials. Headquartered at Level 5, 80 Dorcas Street in Southbank, Victoria, Cengage ANZ is formally registered under ABN 14 058 280 149 and actively supports Australian learning and publishing initiatives.

Industry challenges, innovation and digital transitions

The move toward hybrid classrooms has forced every publisher to rethink delivery. Cengage ANZ’s approach is centred on technology. Its signature product, MindTap, connects eBooks, self-tests, video resources and tracking tools, giving students and teachers a unified digital experience.

Accessibility standards are also part of the foundation. Cengage states that its learning tools comply with WCAG 2.1 and undergo continuous checks to serve users with various needs. The broader Cengage Group keeps refining this digital focus through projects such as Cengage Unlimited, which offers course materials through subscription, and through AI learning support like the beta “Student Assistant.”
