  • New user interface deployed for RIPEstat.
  • RIPEstat app (2020 version) to be sunset in six months.

What happened: RIPEstat releases new user interface

The new user interface (UI) for RIPEstat has been officially deployed. This update introduces a redesigned interface aimed at improving user experience and simplifying navigation. The RIPEstat app, released in 2020, will remain available for the time being but will no longer receive support. It is planned to be phased out over the next six months.

The updated UI offers changes intended to enhance functionality for users accessing RIPEstat’s global Internet measurement data. The RIPEstat team has invited users to provide feedback on the new interface to help inform future refinements based on user input.

To learn more about the changes and how to make the most of the new UI, users can visit this article on RIPE Labs. It outlines the key changes, including updates to visual elements and user navigation.

Why it’s important

The launch of the new RIPEstat UI marks a significant update aimed at improving data accessibility and user interaction with the platform. By transitioning to this new design, RIPEstat seeks to offer users a more efficient way to access key Internet measurements and resources. The previous version of the app, while still functional, did not include some of the features present in the updated UI. With the growing demand for data and analytics, this update is intended to support the platform’s role in providing insights into Internet infrastructure.

This shift also highlights the importance of user-driven design in ensuring that RIPEstat remains functional and responsive to users’ needs. As the older version will no longer be supported after six months, users are encouraged to transition to the new interface to ensure they have access to the latest tools and services.
