Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) is a premier public university in Malaysia, specializing in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. Established in 2002 as Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia (KUKTEM), it was later rebranded as Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) in 2007. In 2023, it was renamed UMPSA to honor its association with the Sultan of Pahang. The university focuses on producing skilled professionals through innovative teaching, research, and industry collaborations.

Academic excellence and research innovation

UMPSA offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple faculties, including engineering, computing, industrial sciences, and management. The university is a leader in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and collaborates with global institutions such as Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and Hanyang University (South Korea) to provide dual-degree programs. Research at UMPSA emphasizes industry-driven solutions, particularly in fields like advanced materials, artificial intelligence, and renewable energy.

State-of-the-Art campuses

UMPSA operates two main campuses: Pekan and Gambang. The Pekan campus serves as the primary engineering and technology hub, accommodating up to 10,000 students. The Gambang campus, strategically located near Malaysia’s East Coast Industrial Belt, focuses on applied sciences, business, and management. Both campuses provide modern research facilities, labs, and industry-linked learning environments.
