Why it’s important
The sale of United Group’s Serbian telecom assets is a significant step in the company’s strategy to exit non-EU markets and focus on its EU operations. The combined enterprise value of €1.5 billion (equivalent to approximately US$1.56 billion based on the current exchange rate) demonstrates the strong market position and growth potential of United Group’s operations in the region.
By divesting its non-EU assets, United Group aims to streamline its operations and enhance its efficiency, positioning itself for long-term success in the EU markets.
