  • The DGDA has announced a new digital interface for customs brokers.
  • A deadline of October 5, 2024, has been set for submitting official email addresses.

In a bid to enhance digital interaction and streamline processes with customs brokers, the Direction Générale des Douanes et Accises (DGDA) has announced a significant update. This move aims to establish a unified and direct digital communication channel between the DGDA and customs brokers.

Digital communication initiative

The DGDA has mandated that customs brokers provide their official email addresses to facilitate a new digital partnership. This step is part of a broader initiative to digitise and simplify customs management. By integrating a digital interface, the DGDA intends to enhance efficiency and foster closer collaboration with registered customs brokers. All email addresses should be submitted to nge.nduaya@douane.gouv.cd by October 5, 2024. Additionally, the submission must be copied to juliette.ciyole@douane.gouv.cd and kakisingi.kyaleman@douane.gouv.cd to ensure proper tracking and follow-up.

“Digitalisation is essential for modernising customs management and enhancing interaction with our partners. This new system will streamline processes and improve service delivery.”

DGDA Spokesperson
