MNDPT (Ministry of Digital Development, Post and Telecommunications) is a pioneering organisation dedicated to promoting digitalisation across Madagascar. Established with a clear vision to transform the nation into a digital economy, MNDPT leads strategic initiatives that harness the power of technology for the betterment of society and the economy. With a strong foundation and a forward-looking approach, MNDPT stands as a beacon of Madagascar’s digital aspirations.

Join the Miary Digital to stimulate innovation

MNDPT, in its pursuit of digital advancement, actively joins the Miary Digital initiative, a strategic move designed to ignite innovation across Madagascar’s technological landscape. By participating in this forward-thinking program, MNDPT aims to create a ripple effect of creativity and progress, fostering an environment where new ideas flourish and digital solutions thrive. The initiative serves as a catalyst for change, encouraging collaboration between industry experts, startups, and the broader community to develop cutting-edge technologies.

With a focus on inclusive growth, MNDPT’s involvement in the Miary Digital plan is more than just a commitment to innovation, it’s a leap towards a future where digital transformation is a driving force for Madagascar’s socio-economic development.

    MNDPT’s impact and achievements

MNDPT’s efforts have led to significant milestones in Madagascar’s digital journey. The organisation has successfully implemented several large-scale projects, including the rollout of high-speed internet services in remote areas and the launch of digital public services that have improved citizen engagement with the government.

We are currently witnessing the fourth industrial revolution, where the use of new technologies is leading the development of the digital economy. This major development affects all areas: communications, technology, economic and social issues.

    About MNDPT

MNDPT, the Madagascar National Digital Transition Agency, stands as a trailblazing entity at the forefront of advancing digitalisation throughout the country. Following the liberalisation of the industry in 1996, the regulatory body OMERT was established. ARTEC was set up in 2014 to replace the agency. In 2014, the ministry was known as MPTNT (Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and New Technologies). It was subsequently succeeded by MPTDN (Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and Digital Development). As 2024, the name was changed to MNDPT (Ministry of Digital Development, Post and Telecommunications).
