About MNDPT

MNDPT, the Madagascar National Digital Transition Agency, stands as a trailblazing entity at the forefront of advancing digitalisation throughout the country. Following the liberalisation of the industry in 1996, the regulatory body OMERT was established. ARTEC was set up in 2014 to replace the agency. In 2014, the ministry was known as MPTNT (Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and New Technologies). It was subsequently succeeded by MPTDN (Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and Digital Development). As 2024, the name was changed to MNDPT (Ministry of Digital Development, Post and Telecommunications).
