Meta’s latest data underscores the importance of business messaging in Thailand, with 91% of Thai businesses expressing satisfaction with using Messenger to communicate with their customers. This data highlights Messenger’s critical role in business growth and customer engagement in Thailand. Ms Prae commented, “We will make Messenger a centre to connect everyone, going beyond chat to become an ‘enabler of commerce.'”

Furthering this initiative, Meta has partnered with V Rich App, a leading Thai e-commerce solutions provider, to beta test its Live Shopping tools. These tools aim to enhance product discovery and sales via livestreams. Available from mid-June, these tools are accessible through Meta’s partnerships with V Rich App, ZWIZ.AI, Kaojao, and others.

Meta will empower Llama3 to support the Thai language

Meta is also preparing to launch artificial intelligence (AI) for businesses, empowering its large language model, Llama3, to support Thai language. This AI aims to automate responses more naturally, emulating human interaction to manage customer relationships. Ms Prae stated that Meta’s AI would learn about businesses through their product catalogues, enabling consumers to chat with the AI to browse, consider, and purchase items.
