Lifetime Achievement Award

Since 2008, Globe’s President and CEO, Ernest Cu, has steered the company to become the Philippines’ leading mobile operator, maintaining market share leadership for seven consecutive years. His exemplary leadership and transformative contributions to the telecom industry earned him the Lifetime Achievement Award.

In his acceptance speech, Cu reflected on Globe’s journey and the collective efforts contributing to its success, focusing on innovation and a customer-centric approach. “When I embarked on this journey, my vision was to revolutionise the telecommunications landscape in the Philippines. Amidst the disruptions of that era, we adopted a challenger mindset. By embracing disruption, we transformed crises into opportunities and delivered one innovation after another to create wonderful experiences for our customers,” Cu remarked at the ceremony in Singapore.

GCash has played a pivotal role in advancing financial inclusion in the Philippines, driving digital adoption among millions. Cu highlighted GCash’s evolution, noting its growth in scope, valuation, and impact. “GCash has become a lifeline for Filipinos, enabling them to carry out daily transactions safely from their homes.
