Simba Telecom Pte Ltd is the primary telecommunications arm of Tuas Ltd, founded by David Teoh. Originally operating as TPG Singapore, the company holds full 4G and 5G licences granted by Singapore’s telecom regulator. In April 2022, after its rights to the TPG brand expired, it rebranded as Simba Telecom, drawing on Singapore’s nickname, “Lion City.”
Simba positions itself as a provider of cost-effective mobile plans with generous features such as unlimited mobile-to-mobile calls and free data roaming. Its focus on lean operations and in-house engineering expertise allows the company to offer competitive pricing while maintaining network quality. Senior executives, including the chief technology officer, are driving technical innovation in network operations and service delivery.

Simba’s mobile plans are contract-free, without early termination fees or activation charges. Customers can choose between physical SIMs and eSIMs, with a fully digital activation process. The company’s mobile app enables users to manage plans, monitor usage, and access billing information, emphasising convenience and self-service.
On the broadband side, Simba offers a 10 Gbps fibre plan with a 360-day minimum contract, including bundled home phone service. The company is scaling rapidly, exemplified by its announcement in 2025 to acquire M1’s telecom business for S$1.43 billion, a move that could increase its spectrum portfolio and market presence significantly.

Industry challenges and innovation
Simba operates in Singapore’s competitive telecommunications market alongside Singtel, StarHub, and M1.
