    • AI and sustainability emerged as the core focus, with discussions on how to integrate AI-powered automation and green energy solutions into data centres.
    • The need for faster fibre networks and low-latency connectivity to support the 5G and edge computing revolution in LATAM was a central theme.

A Gathering of Digital Infrastructure Innovators

DCD Connect | LATAM 2025 took place from September 30 to October 1, 2025, at the Barceló Maya Grand Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The event brought together over 1,300 professionals from across Latin America and beyond, including data centre operators, cloud providers, energy experts, and investors. The conference focused on key trends shaping the future of digital infrastructure, particularly AI, sustainability, and 5G connectivity. Attendees heard from thought leaders about how AI is transforming data centre operations, with a particular emphasis on automation, energy efficiency, and real-time monitoring. Renewable energy solutions, such as solar, wind, and geothermal, were also central to discussions, with a focus on their role in powering data centres while reducing environmental impact.

The event also explored the critical need for low-latency fibre networks to support the demands of edge computing and 5G applications. With IoT driving the need for faster and more resilient networks, panel discussions emphasised how the region can overcome challenges in scaling up fibre infrastructure. Investors discussed the opportunities and challenges in funding data centre projects in LATAM, with many companies outlining strategies to secure investment for future-proof infrastructure.

Throughout the conference, there were ample networking opportunities, allowing participants to form valuable partnerships and explore potential collaborations. Many businesses shared their commitment to sustainable development, while others discussed the role of cloud technologies and AI in the region’s ongoing digital transformation. The event highlighted the growing importance of collaboration and innovation in shaping the future of the digital infrastructure landscape across Latin America.
