HKNOG 14.0 to unite Hong Kong’s network community

    • The one-day conference runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on 31st October 2025, with social gathering after hours.
    • Vendors such as Seiko Solutions will exhibit products like console servers and NTP time-server systems.

What happened: HKNOG’s 14.0 edition convenes at the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel

HKNOG 14.0 is scheduled for Friday, 31st October 2025, at the New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel, 72 Mody Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The event will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, followed by a social gathering (venue to be announced) from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Hong Kong Network Operators’ Group (HKNOG) is a non profit, community driven forum for those who run and build internet infrastructure in Hong Kong and the wider region. It brings together network operators, ISPs, data centres, cloud services, content delivery networks and vendors. The group is supported by the Hong Kong Internet Service Providers Association (HKISPA) but runs independently as a neutral platform.

HKNOG holds the meetings and conferences like this one so professionals can share operational experience, look into new standards, and deal with challenges such as routing, resilience and security. Hong Kong is a major hub city where global internet traffic meets, and HKNOG has an important role in building resilience, teamwork and technical strength across Asia.

At the event, Seiko Solutions plans to present its console server NS-2250, its NTP time server TS-2560, and network-connected NTP clocks in the conference hall and at its booth. The company cites its leading market share in Japan and its adoption across the APAC region as rationale for showcasing these products. aiming to use the forum for meetings and engagements.

    Why it’s important

HKNOG 14.0 offers a local but internationally relevant stage for Hong Kong’s internet infrastructure community to connect. As digital demand and network complexity rise in Hong Kong and across Asia, operators confront challenges in scalability, time synchronisation, reliability and security.

By bringing together stakeholders from operations, vendors and content providers, the event helps accelerate knowledge transfer of best practices, new architectures and operational resilience. The presence of vendors like Seiko shows the growing need for precision time protocols (NTP) and console management tools in keeping networks healthy and stable. Hong Kong is a regional hub for connectivity, and new ideas and models tested here can spread outward, mainly to the Greater Bay Area and across Asia networks. HKNOG 14.0 may thus serve as both a mirror of local network maturity and a launchpad for regional collaboration.
