    • Peering Asia 7.0 gathers leading APAC network operators and tech experts from 4–6 November.
    • The event highlights workshops, panels, peering meetings, and cutting-edge interconnection solutions.

What happened: Peering Asia 7.0 unites APAC network leaders in Manila for three-day summit

Peering Asia 7.0 is set for 4–6 November 2025 at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila, bringing together internet professionals driving peering and interconnection across the Asia Pacific region. Hosted by PhNOG, BBIX, and Digital Edge, and supported by the Asia Pacific Internet Exchange Association (APIX), the summit offers a dedicated tutorial day, conference talks, panel discussions, a technology exhibition, and private meeting spaces.

The three-day agenda starts with a tutorial and workshops on 4 November, designed to equip participants with practical skills and insights. Days two and three feature presentations, peering meetings, personalised networking, and social events, creating a platform for operators, data centre providers, and network engineers to share strategies, explore new interconnection technologies, and build partnerships. Sponsors include AMS-IX, Digital Realty, and NTT SmartConnect, reflecting strong industry support.

    Why this is important

As digital traffic grows exponentially in APAC, Peering Asia 7.0 provides a critical forum for improving regional internet infrastructure. Effective peering and interconnection reduce latency, enhance resilience, and enable new services for end-users, making these discussions essential for network operators and service providers. By facilitating knowledge exchange through tutorials, panels, and private meetings, the event accelerates adoption of innovative interconnection models and strengthens collaboration across borders.

Manila’s strategic location positions it as a rising hub for regional connectivity, supporting Southeast Asia’s digital economy. Participation in Peering Asia 7.0 allows operators to benchmark performance, explore emerging technologies, and forge alliances that enhance network efficiency and reliability. The summit’s hybrid format ensures global participation while maintaining hands-on learning and networking experiences, underscoring the event’s role in shaping the future of internet interconnection in the region.
