Beginning 2 End Technologies: Cloud & connectivity solutions

Beginning 2 End Technologies (B2E Technologies) delivers turnkey cloud services, IT support and fibre connectivity across South Africa. It supports cloud migration, data backup, hosting and virtualization using partnerships with Rackspace and Microsoft. Headquartered in Johannesburg, it operates via its branded offering Active Fibre, which provides fibre connectivity nationwide through infrastructure partners like DFA, Openserve, Vumatel and Metro Fibre Networks, with presence in all three Teraco data centres.

Beginning 2 End Technologies: Supporting education & IT infrastructure

The company actively supports over ten schools by providing free high‑speed internet of up to 1 GB, backed by a team of more than 50 on‑site engineers and remote support capabilities.B2E also offers extensive services such as network setup and maintenance, remote and on‑site IT support, plus cloud services and data backup solutions.

Industry context: Challenges and innovations

South Africa’s IT and broadband industry faces a dual challenge: extending reliable internet to underserved regions while managing infrastructure costs. Fibre deployment remains capital-intensive and often delayed, especially in rural and peri-urban areas. Within this landscape, providers like B2E are innovating by integrating fibre, cloud services, and agile support frameworks to deliver enterprise IT resilience. Fixed-wireless and community-based networks are emerging too, yet partnerships with established fibre operators ensure scalability and stability for B2E’s Active Fibre offering.
