    • Fenix S.L. provides wireless internet, hotspot access, professional web pages and multiple service plans services.
    • The telecoms field in Equatorial Guinea must address coverage gaps, infrastructure costs, growing demand and move toward fibre and reliability.

Fenix S.L.’s services and offerings at Fenix S.L.

Fenix S.L. operates in Malabo as a private telecommunications provider. It offers high-speed wireless internet with 99 percent reliability and connectivity 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The firm delivers broadband using wireless technology and allows up to 25 simultaneous connections per customer. The company also runs hotspots in several city locations. These are useful for mobile users who need on-the-go internet. In addition, Fenix S.L. builds professional websites for customers.

Fenix S.L. issues several fixed internet plans. The packages include Basic (512 kbps download, 256 kbps upload), Standard (1 Mbps), Premium (2 Mbps) and Business (5–10+ Mbps), all with unlimited data. Each plan comes with priority or VIP technical support, and Business users get premium 24/7 help. A one-time installation fee of 65 000 CFA applies, and equipment is loaned during the contract. The monthly fees range from 15 500 CFA for Basic to from 137 500 CFA for Business.

Fenix S.L.’s infrastructure and identity at Fenix S.L.

Fenix S.L. runs using its own autonomous system, AS329219, with 512 IPv4 addresses, allocated under AFRINIC. It does not yet peer directly with other networks but connects via transit providers. The company is listed in business directories in Malabo, and its services are geared to both individual and corporate clients. LinkedIn notes that Fenix Equatorial Guinea works in telecommunications, with between 11 and 50 employees and a base in Malabo, Bioko Norte. The company slogan reads “Think Different, Think Fenix”.

Industry context and challenges for Fenix S.L.

The telecoms sector in Equatorial Guinea faces pressure from growing demand and limited infrastructure. Wireless networks meet needs now but national plans favour fibre for speed and resilience. Fenix S.L. provides key access where fixed networks may lag or be costly. The business must handle installation costs, ensure reliable support and adapt to new standards. Installing hardware, maintaining it and offering affordable plans are vital. As demand for remote work, education and business services grows, Fenix S.L. must grow coverage, consider fibre rollout and maintain strong service.

The company’s wireless model is good for now. It gives homes and offices good access with flexible service. Yet the sector will need upgrades like fibre, more peering, better coverage and faster speeds. That means investment and coordination with regulators and other providers. Fenix S.L. stands as a key provider today. It must keep up with demand and infrastructure change to stay central to Equatorial Guinea’s digital future.
