    • The company prioritises digital innovation and service expansion across broadcasting and broadband sectors.

    Sentech leadership updates

Sentech SOC Ltd, founded in 1992, is a South African state-owned technology company specialising in broadcasting signal distribution, connectivity, and digital infrastructure services. The company has announced key leadership appointments as part of its ongoing organisational transformation. Sentech is shifting to a business- and customer-focused operating model aimed at improving strategy delivery, governance, and accountability. Ms. Clarinda Simpson joins as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Rudzani Rasikhinya, while other new appointments include Mr. Flenk Mnisi as Chief Commercial Officer for Satellite Business, Mr. Marlon Finnis for Managed Infrastructure Services, Mr. Kopano Thage for Media Business, Mr. Marius Venter for Broadband Business, and Ms. Nomahlubi Ogoh as Chief Information Officer.

CEO Tebogo Leshope emphasised that these leadership changes are crucial for unlocking growth across Sentech’s core verticals: Media distribution, Broadband, Satellite, and Managed Infrastructure. Strengthening the commercial focus and operational efficiency allows the company to respond more effectively to the evolving broadcasting and telecommunications landscape. Aligning executive expertise with strategic priorities ensures that Sentech can capitalise on opportunities in digital infrastructure, streaming, and signal distribution while maintaining its critical role as a state-owned service provider.

    Sentech industry focus and innovation

Beyond internal restructuring, Sentech remains pivotal in South Africa’s broadcasting and connectivity ecosystem. The company addresses sector-wide challenges including digital migration, spectrum allocation, and increasing demand for broadband access. Sentech continues to innovate with IP-based broadcasting, network monitoring, and hybrid infrastructure solutions to maintain reliable service delivery for both public and commercial clients, supporting the nation’s transition to integrated digital platforms.

Innovation remains central to Sentech’s strategy. Deploying advanced monitoring systems, hybrid broadcasting technologies, and modernised infrastructure enhances efficiency and network resilience. These initiatives expand service reach, improve signal quality, and meet growing demand for digital communications in urban and rural areas. Combined with renewed leadership, Sentech is well-positioned to remain a cornerstone of South Africa’s broadcasting, broadband, and digital infrastructure landscape.
