    • NuruNet offers VoIP, bulk SMS and data services through its flagship NuruTalk app and owned IP network.
    • With local infrastructure and transparent pricing, it serves businesses and individuals across Kenya.

NuruNet Communications Ltd offers in Kenya’s telecom market

NuruNet Communications Ltd, founded in 2021 and headquartered in Nairobi, delivers internet, voice, and messaging services to both businesses and individuals. Its flagship mobile app, NuruTalk, provides free on-net VoIP calls and affordable off-net rates using mobile data—even in areas with weak signals. With over 100,000 downloads and thousands of positive reviews, it is proving especially useful in underserved regions.

The company operates its own network infrastructure under ASN 328994, including over 1,000 IPv4 addresses and a live IPv6 allocation. It maintains peering relationships with major regional providers such as SEACOM and China Mobile International. This allows NuruNet to reduce latency and improve performance without relying heavily on third-party transit networks. Its bulk SMS and PBX services are also increasingly popular with small businesses, NGOs and educational institutions.

NuruNet Communications Ltd matters for digital inclusion

Kenya’s telecommunications industry faces rising demand for affordable and secure communications tools. However, many users still encounter barriers: unreliable VoIP quality, expensive cross-network calls, and limited access to localised infrastructure. NuruNet addresses these issues by combining its software tools with physical network control—ensuring faster routing, better uptime, and increased privacy.

Unlike many low-cost VoIP providers that rely on foreign backend services, NuruNet owns its infrastructure. This translates to stronger data protection and more reliable service. By directly peering with other local networks and maintaining control over its IP allocations, the company can route calls and messages faster while keeping costs low. As mobile-first communication grows in Africa, NuruNet’s app-based model and technical investment make it a standout in the space.
